This stately Greek Revival was built in 1834 by Captain Francis West a prominent sea captain, shipbuilder, and Ivory entrepreneur who built it for his wife. The current owners are only the sixth family who have lived in the house since it was built. They have completed an extensive amount of renovations keeping the Historic character in tact. A complete list of upgrades are available upon request. The front entrance with the massive wrap around porch and stately columns is very unique and one of a kind for Essex. Entering the foyer with it's 9 ft ceilings and plenty of room to greet guests you walk in to the living room through a wide cased opening.
